The muscle cuirass, also known as the heroic cuirass, demonstrated the Greek love for the concept of physical perfection. Some were literal, others, like the Bell Muscle Brass Armour, are a more conceptualized version of physical perfection. Typically, muscle cuirasses would be modeled after depictions of the Greek gods, featuring nothing less than an ideal male physique. This particular cuirass is less literal in a physical depiction, instead focusing on creating the shapes of the chest and muscle while leaving the rest undefined. The cuirass features a high collar that offers additional protection to the neck, as well as small bands around the abdomen that add subtle decoration and strength to the cuirass stomach. The arms of the cuirass are also left fairly open, ensuring that the warrior can move his arms unrestricted and with ease, something especially useful to Greek warriors, who favored throwing spears before advancing into close combat. This armour is made from fine metal materials and features a truly impressive looking polished brass finish. The breastplate secures to the back plate along the shoulders and the sides. Oftentimes, armour was a statement of its original wearer, given that most suits of plate armor were custom-made for their owner. A traditional warrior would have favored the less-embellished look of the Bell Muscle Brass Armour, making this the armour of a traditional Grecian warrior.
